I was really impressed with this sub. This sub is meant for those looking to add some decent bass to their audio system without spending a ton of money. If you're looking for a serious sub with a ton of bass that's going to thump, this is not it, nor will you find it in anything in this price range. Everything was included so you won't need to buy additional accessories. I have a Cadillac SRX with a Bose audio system and this complimented it perfectly. It's solid and doesn't look or feel cheap and I have no reason to believe it won't hold up. You won't find a better sub for the money.

Shallow mount subwoofers have been around for quite a while, but these all in one low profile units seem to have taken the lead in space saving subwoofers. I have used several other brands with less than optimal results. Every time, they tend to be punchy up top, but distort when trying to go low. I was skeptical of the Andeman low profile sub, but was pleasantly surprised. Upon unboxing, I found a well made, sturdy case. The amplifier terminals are solid and tight. The speaker grille doesn’t feel cheap. The subwoofer feels nice and tight with a thick, long travel surround. I imagine after some break in time, it will be capable of decent excursion. It includes mounting hardware and hex wrenches for the terminals. It also includes the high pass harness if you don’t have a way to use RCA cables. Last of the included accessories is a remote bass boost knob. It also includes a complete wire kit with power, ground, remote, and RCA cables. This is where I took a star away in my rating. Maybe the RCA cables can get by and the remote wire doesn’t carry much load, but the power and ground are way too small. The insulation is thicker than the wire inside. Maybe the insulation is a 8-10 gauge but the wire inside is probably a 14-16. It’s a cheap blade style holder and where the terminals go in, bare wire is showing and there is no shrink tube or any kind of protection from shorting out. From a functional stand point, this sub is impressive for its size. I was not expecting the type of bass that the Andeman produces. It actually gets pretty low. Nothing like a large ported enclosure or a 12” high powered sub, but for how small of a footprint it has the sub beats.

If you are looking for solid bass and don't want or don't have the room for a carpeted box then this product is worthy of your consideration. This has the amplifier built in and has some lighting included and that makes setup and wiring easy. The enclosure is aluminum and the build feels solid and sturdy. If you have the room this can be placed under the seat. Your audio buddies will like this too. Recommended.
